Biography

Sharon Miller is Director of Internet Communications at DePaul University. She oversees the design, creation and maintenance of the core of depaul.edu: content, information architecture, and applications aimed at informing and recruiting prospective students. In 2009, her group became responsible for Web design, structure and user interface development across the university. In that expanded role, Sharon and her team work with the colleges and administrative units within DePaul to implement sound content strategy and a consistent user experience from site to site.

In the fall of 2011, DePaul launched a redesign and restructuring of the core of depaul.edu in SharePoint 2010 — Sharon’s third design overhaul and second CMS implementation at DePaul. Work is now under way to redesign and migrate the nearly 200 other university websites into SharePoint.

Sharon holds a B.S. in education from Illinois State University and an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri.
